Zusammenfassung
Die Transportvorgänge im menschlichen Körper werden durch eine aus drei Komponenten bestehende Apparatur geregelt. Das Herz steuert als Pumpwerk die Motorik bei; die Vasomotoren sorgen für eine durch zahlreiche Regulationsmechanismen und Regelkreise gesicherte rationelle Verteilung des Minutenvolumens im riesenhaften Gebiet der Kreislaufperipherie. Das „Transportmilieu“ trägt als dritte Komponente der Transportapparatur wesentliches zu der lokalen Abgabedosierung an die einzelnen Zellen und Gewebselemente bei (Bennhold 1930, 1932, 1938, 1960–1963). Unter Transportmilieu ist ein bewegtes Milieu zu verstehen, in welchem — über die Summe der zu transportierenden Stoffe hinausgehend — auch Substanzen oder biologische Einheiten enthalten sind, welche dem Transportvorgang als solchen dienen, ohne daß sie dem Transportgut selbst zuzurechnen sind. In erster Linie sind also dem Transportmilieu zuzurechnen die Erythrocyten, wahrscheinlich auch die Leukocyten, ferner die Blutplättchen und in besonders großem Umfang die Serumeiweißkörper. Ihre riesengroße Grenzfläche und ihre in den letzten 3 Jahrzehnten festgestellte Aufteilung in vielen Fraktionen (nach Schultze etwa 75) eröffnen besonders ausgedehnte Möglichkeiten für differenzierte Vehikelfunktionen (Bennhold 1929, 1930, 1932, 1938, 1960–1963).
