Software-Werkzeuge für die Finite-Element-Modellbildung

Summary

An efficient use of the finite element method requires software systems, which allow a comfortable and fast process of modelling, investigation and optimization of structural variants and interactive design and calculation. While the rigid structure of conventional finite element program chains restricts the user, modern software — systems allow to handle the finite element method in an engineering way.

Algorithms have to transform the user instructions into the finite element model. It is shown on the basis of new algorithms for mesh — smoothing and bandwidth- /profil — optimization that parts of the finite element modelling process can be solved independently by software modules which are working with improved heuristic strategies.

Zusammenfassung

Ein effizienter Einsatz der Finite-Element-Methode setzt Software — Systeme voraus, die die komfortable und schnelle Modellbildung, Variantenuntersuchung und Konstruktionsoptimierung im Rahmen des iterativen Entwurfs- und Berechnungszyklus ermöglichen. Während herkömmliche FE-Programm-Ketten den Anwender durch ihre starre Struktur stark einengen, erlauben Software-Systeme neuerer Konzeption, die Finite-Element-Methode in ingenieurgemäßer Art und Weise zu handhaben.

Algorithmen müssen die Benutzervorgaben in das FE-Modell umsetzen. Anhand von neuentwickelten Algorithmen zur Netzglättung und Bandbreitenoptimierung wird gezeigt, daß Teilaufgaben des Finite-Element-Modellierungsprozesses von Software — Moduln mit ausgefeilten heuristischen Strategien selbständig erledigt werden können.
