Abstract

The author presented the structure and capabilities of SYM_POC simulation software designed for modelling traffic flows of trains on railway lines. He presented the results of simulations carried out for the Polish Railways State selected railway line with regard to different methods of the railway traffic control (fixed block interval rule, moving block interval rule) and various traffic flows. The presented method of computer modeling of train traffic flows using the SYM_POC software confirms the effectiveness of the method in planning and estimating the capacity of railway lines
