Die wesentlichen Einstellparameter des Respirators sind die inspiratorische O2-Konzentration, Atemzugvolumen und -minutenvolumen, Atemfrequenz, maximaler Inspirationsdruck bzw. oberes inspiratorisches Druckniveau, positiver endexspiratorischer Druck bzw. unteres exspiratorisches Druckniveau, Atemzeitverhältnis, Inspirationszeit und Exspirationszeit, Inspirationsflow bzw. Gasgeschwindigkeit sowie Triggerart.
