Zusammenfassung

Die interventionelle Therapie hat sich in den letzten Jahren erheblich weiterentwickelt und bietet mittlerweile für nahezu alle Organregionen effektive Techniken zum Management von Gefäßverletzungen, insbesondere auch bei schwerverletzten Patienten. Interventionelle Radiologie im Management Schwerstverletzter kann nicht für sich allein betrachtet werden, sondern muss im Kontext des zunehmenden Einsatzes der Ganzkörper-CT auch bei hämodynamisch instabilen Patienten gesehen werden. Eine weitere erfolgreiche Implementierung interventioneller Therapien in klinische Abläufe erfordert ein konzertiertes Vorgehen von zeitgemäßer Bildgebung und interventioneller Therapie als Ergänzung zum Standard der operativen Maßnahmen. Dabei sind die frühzeitige Einbindung der Radiologie und eine 24/7-Verfügbarkeit interventioneller Radiologie notwendig, um eine optimale Versorgung für den Patienten zu erreichen.
