Messverfahren zur Erfassung vigilanzassoziierter Prozesse

Zusammenfassung

Es existieren eine Vielzahl von Messmethoden zur Erfassung vigilanzabhängiger Prozesse. Um hier den Überblick zu erleichtern, werden mithilfe eines Eisberg-Modells drei Ebenen der Erfassung vigilanzassoziierter Prozesse unterschieden.

Die Spitze des Eisberg-Modells (1. Ebene) bilden Verfahren, die sich hauptsächlich auf die Beschreibung und Quantifizierung von beobachtbaren Verhaltensweisen konzentrieren. Der 2. Ebene sind alle Verfahren zur Erfassung der subjektiven Einschätzungen von Wachheit, Müdigkeit und Schläfrigkeit zugeordnet und der 3. Ebene alle Messverfahren zur Erfassung physiologischer Prozesse. Diese Verfahren gelten gemeinhin als „objektiv“ und vertrauenswürdiger als die Verfahren der 1. und 2. Ebene.

Neben diesen „klassischen“ Messmethoden werden zukünftig vermehrt Smartphones und andere digitale Endgeräte zum Einsatz kommen, um vigilanzassoziierte Prozesse zu erheben, mit neuen Möglichkeiten zur Optimierung der individuellen Erholungs- und Leistungsfähigkeit.
