Zusammenfassung
Die Verknüpfung einzelner Sätze innerhalb eines Textes hängt u.a. davon ab, ob eine anaphorische Beziehung mittels eines Inferenzprozesses zu einem vorgenannten Satzkonzept hergestellt werden muß oder ob ein vorgenanntes Satzkonzept pronominal aufgegriffen wird. In dem vorliegenden Beitrag werden hierzu Aspekte der jeweils notwendigen kognitiven Verarbeitungsmechanismen untersucht. Nach den vorliegenden Untersuchungen sind Verarbeitungszeitunterschiede bei ‚nahen‘ und ‚fernen‘ Inferenzprozessen nicht an Konzeptwiederholungen gebunden ist, sondern sie treten auch bei Variation der semantischen Nähe der zu beziehenden Konzepte auf. Dabei setzt der Inferenzprozeß unmittelbar mit Rezeption des kritischen Referenzkonzepts ein und wird spätestens mit der Rezeption der ersten Sinneinheit abgeschlossen. Modifizierend auf den Inferenzprozeß wirkt, ob eine Spezifizierung oder eine Verallgemeinerung eines vorangehenden Konzepts verlangt wird. Verarbeitungsunterschiede treten danach eher nach einer Spezifizierung als nach einer Verallgemeinerung auf.
