Psycholeptica der „Obrigaçâo da Consciencia“

Über die Rauschmittel der afroamerikanischen Religionen gibt es kaum Veröffentlichungen Es ist weitgehend unbekannt, daß im Candomblé der sogenannten “Nationen” Ketu, Angola, Gege, Nago eine Art Brainwashing durchgeführt wird, wenn das konventionelle Einweihungsgetränk Abó** nicht ausreicht, um das Bewußtsein der Novizen so zu dämpfen, daß die Konditionierung der anfangs wild auftretenden Trance vorgenommen werden kann. Will der Orisa, der Gott nicht kommen, weil der Novize bewußt die Rituale verfolgt, verabreicht man ihm ein Getränk, kaltes Wasser, in welches einige, wenige Blätter eingeweicht worden sind. Augenblicklich und ohne Ausnahme, so wird bezeugt, fällt der Novize in einen tiefen Stupor, der Gott ergreift ihn in der Trance, die Einweihung kann vollzogen werden.

Der Priester hat das Bewußtsein des Novizen “zerbrochen” - “quebrar a consciencia”.

Il y a peu de publications sur les drogues dans les religions afro-américaines. On ignore complètement que dans le Candomblé des “nations” Ketu, Angola, Gégé, Nago, on procède à une sorte de lavage de cerveau lorsque la boisson initiatique conventionnelle “Abo”** ne suffit pas pour diminuer la conscience des novices, et pour que le conditionnement de la transe, au début incohérent, puisse être entrepris. Si Orisa, le dieu, ne veut pas venir parce que le novice suit les rites de façon consciente, on lui fait boire de l’eau froide dans laquelle ont été mises quelques feuilles. Le novice tombe instantanément, assure-t-on, dans un état de stupeur profond. Le dieu le saisit dans la transe et l’initiation peut être accomplie. Le prêtre a brisé la conscience du novice. C’est ce qu’on appelle “quebrar a consciencia”.

There are only few publications on ritual drugs of the afro-american religions. It is merely unknow that there is existing a kind of brainwashing in the “candomblé” of the so-called nations of Ketu, Angola, Gege and Nago, if the conventional initiation beverage “Abo”** is not sufficient to tranquilize the novice’s consciousness in the way that a conditioning of the initial wild trance can be done. If Orissa, the god will not come, because the novice is persecuting the ritual by his consciousness they give him a drink, cold water with some leaves having been put in. Instantly and without exception, as people confirm, the novice falls into a deep stuporous state, the god can take part of him in the state of trance and the initiation can be done. The priest has “broken” the consciousness of the novice “quebrar a consciencia”.
