Abstract

The experimental determination of eigenvalues and eigenmodes of the linear mechanical structures is a fundamental step in the study of the problems brought about by the vibrations of a structure. Indeed the knowledge of eigensolutions allows the obtaining of the dynamic response of the structure to any excitation. These eigensolutions are also necessary to determine the modifications which optimize the dynamical behavior of the structure.
