Die Elastizitätstheorie gilt für Körper von beliebiger Form. Bei Körpern mit stark unterschiedlichen charakteristischen Abmessungen sind wesentliche Vereinfachungen dieser Theorie zulässig. Das trifft für Flächen- und Stabtragwerke zu (Abb. 6.1).
