Abstract
This chapter is devoted to the analysis of a number of space structures with boundary conditions of a type commonly employed by designers but difficult to analyze by standard field methods. The basic concepts required to deal with these boundary conditions were covered in the course lectures but experience has shown that many students. have difficulty applying them to multidimensional systems. The publishers were kind enough to allow the author these extra pages for the purpose of supplementing the lecture material with illustrative problems to better prepare the reader for the analysis of space lattices and mixed discrete-continuous systems with difficult boundary conditions.
