CSF pharmacokinetic of intrathecal Baclofen administration

  • Chapter
Neurosurgery for Spasticity

Abstract

For the achievement of an optimal pharmacotherapy with intrathecal Baclofen, an analysis of the relationships between therapeutic effects and frug concentration in CSF may be valuable, We had previously developed a sensitive method for the measurement of Baclofen concentration in human CSF (Sallerin-Caute et al. 1988). The present pharmacokinetic study was carried out within the framework of a clinical investigation (see chapter by Lazorthes and VerdiƩ).
