Zusammenfassung
Die Pioniere der „Chronophotographie“ haben sich noch mühsam damit abgequält, Serien von photographischen Platten zum Studium von Bewegungsvorgängen nacheinander in möglichst kurzer Folge zu belichten. Sei es Muybridge, der bis zu 30 photographische Kameras parallel nebeneinander aufstellte, sei es Du Mont, der die photographischen Platten auf einem endlosen Band in einer photographischen Kamera bewegte, sei es Ducos du Hauron, der mit einer Anzahl von Objektiven (bis zu 32) der Reihe nach Teile einer photographischen Platte belichtete und viele andere. Erst als 1887 Goodwin ein amerikanisches Patent auf photographischen Film anmeldete und auch Eastman später mit der Fabrikation von Kinofilmen beginnt, konnten die „lebenden Bilder“ oder „Laufbilder“ sinnvoll hergestellt werden, beginnt die eigentliche Kinematographie.
