The Stability Problem in ф4 Scalar Field Theories

Abstract

In these notes the renormalization theory for the ground state energy in ф4 field theory in 2 and 3 dimensions is examined for the hierarchical fields as well as for the Euclidean fields and the similarity between the two cases is stressed.
