Abstract

From the very beginning of special relativity, complex quaternions have been used to formulate that theory [45]. This chapter establishes the expression of the Lorentz group using complex quaternions and gives a few applications. Complex quaternions constitute a natural transition towards the Clifford algebra ℍ ⊗ ℍ.
