Abstract
To verify the hypotheses and research questions (as defined in Chapter 5 on p. 30), several experiments have been conducted using custom-built hardware prototypes and software components (a detailed technical description of the hardware systems used for pressure sensing and delivery of vibro-tactile stimulation can be found in Appendix A: “Hardware for Processing Pressure and Vibration” on p. 199).
