Zusammenfassung

Der steigende Konkurrenzdruck auf den Absatzmärkten lässt den Einzelhandel immer mehr die Zusammenarbeit mit den weltweit besten Lieferanten suchen. Durch internationale Beschaffung oder auch Global Sourcing versuchen Handelsunternehmen sich über niedrige Stückkosten oder exklusive Qualitätsmerkmale in ihren Sortimenten zu differenzieren. Im vorliegenden Beitrag analysieren die Autoren eingangs die Entwicklung und zunehmende Bedeutung von globalen Beschaffungsverhalten. Daran schließt sich die Beschreibung der Organisation, eine kurze Darlegung der zentralen Motive sowie die Beleuchtung wichtiger Problemfelder und Herausforderungen. Den Abschluss bilden die Ausführungen zu der immer stärker geforderten ethischen Ausrichtung von international beschaffenden Handelsunternehmen und deren Lieferanten. Alle Ausführungen werden durch aktuelle Daten und Fallbeispiele untermauert.
