Abstract
In this paper another new method is proposed to study the large deflection of plates. This method called ‘Charge Simulation Method’ by Electrical Engineers is somewhat similar to Boundary Element Method, but differs from it in that the source is placed outside the plate domain whereas in Boundary Element Method it is on the boundary. For the first time this method is applied to large deflection problems. Numerical examples include circular plates with regular and mixed boundary.
