Abstract

Two major architecture characteristics of G MICRO /300 are described.

LSID(LOGICAL SPACE IDENTIFIER)support is very effective for multi-job, multi-task applications. LSID is controlled by software, and this is more efficient than by hardware control that is normally used in general purpose mainframe.

New decimal instructions are defined as LEVEL2 TRON architecture, and they make COBOL programs run more than three times faster and be more than three times smaller in code size.
