Abstract
The Economy of China has been growing at a high rate of about 8.1% in the past two decades. This represents 2.5 points more than in the two decades prior to 1970. Since 1979, the economic reform and open policies were implemented, the economy has been growing particularly much faster and the labor productivity improved, due to the progressive introduction of the market mechanism.
