Background: Due to improved diagnostic and early surgical intervention, the life expectancy of patients with Marfan syndrome could be considerably improved. This study reviews the surgical outcome of patients who underwent aortic surgery in our institute.
Method: During a 28-year period, 155 patients underwent 228 operations on the aorta including 105 aortic root operation, 51 aortic arch operation, 26 descending thoracic aortic repairs, 30 thoracoabdominal aortic repairs, and 16 abdominal repairs.
