Riassunto

Con il termine di governo clinico si intende un sistema attraverso il quale le organizzazioni sanitarie si rendono responsabili del miglioramento continuo della qualità dei loro servizi e garantiscono elevati standard assistenziali, creando le condizioni ottimali nelle quali viene favorita l’eccellenza clinica. Rappresenta il tentativo di trovare un approccio integrato al problema della qualità dell’assistenza, riconoscendo che non si tratta solo di intervenire nelle singole decisioni clinico-assistenziali per orientarle verso una migliore appropriatezza, ma di fare in modo che i sistemi assistenziali nel loro insieme siano orientati verso questo obiettivo.
