Abstract

Breast cancer comprises about 10% of all cancer incidences among women worldwide, making it the most common type of non-skin cancer in females. In recent decades, great strides have been made toward early detection of breast cancer, with X-ray mammography being the mainstay of breast imaging. However, there are some limitations inherent to this technique. Therefore, efforts have been made to develop adjunctive diagnostic techniques, including high-resolution breast ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
