Abstract
Lymphomas account for 1%–4% of all primary gastrointestinal tumors. Primary gastrointestinal lymphoma is defined as a localized or regional intestinal lymphoma in a patient with no palpable lymph nodes, no radiographic evidence of mediastinal involvement and a normal peripheral blood smear. The small intestine, especially the ileum, is involved in 21% of cases, whereas the stomach is involved in 61%.
