Abstract
A study of a continuous leaching process of manganese dioxide is presented in this paper. We describe the time trend of the fixed phase and the moving leachant concentrations with a particular attention to the simultaneous reaction-diffusion phenomena that overlap after the first stages of the process.
Some models are outlined and discussed; the relevant implementation is propostici step by step with the goal of capturing the physics of the process for both short and long times.
