Samenvatting

In Nederland is de prevalentie van schouderpijn 21% (bij N = 3664), wat neerkomt op 16% voor mannen en 26% voor vrouwen. Klachten rond de schouder presenteren zich vaak ook als klachten in aangrenzende gebieden zoals nek en arm. Daarnaast kunnen ze specifiek en aspecifiek zijn (KANS: Klachten Arm, Nek, Schouder). In dit hoofdstuk worden vooral de specifieke klachten belicht en wordt verder kort ingegaan op de aspecifieke klachten.
