Samenvatting
Een 16-jarige voetballer voelt al enkele weken pijn onderin zijn bil tijdens en na een voetbalwedstrijd. Het gaat helemaal mis als hij een bal op schouderhoogte probeert weg te trappen. Hij moet vanwege de pijn het veld verlaten. Een dergelijk beeld doet bij volwassenen denken aan een hamstringblessure ter plaatse van de origo van de hamstring. Op tienerleeftijd moet men echter eerder denken aan botletsel ter plaatse van de origo van de hamstrings. Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft de avulsie van de tuber ischiadicum en de behandeling ervan.
