Abstract
In this chapter, we will describe the introduction and diffusion of GIS in secondary geography education in The Netherlands: from the first steps in the 1980s, to limping with one leg in the 1990s, to walking on two legs in the early part of the 2000s, and finally running in the later part of the 2000s. For the 2010s, we foresee a big leap for GIS-supported secondary education.
