Abstract
It should be possible to raise the level of happiness beyond the present level, and beyond what might be expected to be the typical state based on our genetic inheritance. Evolution designs for survival and procreation, but we can take advantage of features evolution has added to our brain, and opt for happiness instead. The key elements in this pursuit are: one, to create an environment that caters to the human psyche by avoiding discords; two, to make sure there is sufficient incentive for production and invention in order to supply people with the necessities of life, and with state-of-the-art medical treatment; and three, to teach people to exercise their brain for the purpose of elevating the net output of the mood modules.
