Abstract

Lasers were developed in GI endoscopy for their hemostatic properties. They are now used more commonly for tumor destruction (1–2). At the Lille Laser center, three types of sessile rectosigmoid tumors are treated by laser photo- ablation: cancers (advanced and small tumors), villous adenomas and small rectal polyps in familial polyposis syndrome after total colectomy and ileorectal anastomosis.
