Superclusters of Galaxies: Fractal Properties

Abstract

The distribution of galaxies has fractal properties, expressed in self-similarity of filaments and voids. Fractal properties have been observed in the scale interval from a few to several hundred Megaparsecs. The lower limit of the fractal structure is given by dynamical processes in clusters of galaxies, the upper limit cannot be derived from available observational data.
