Abstract

The contributions to this session report progress in understanding the basic properties of Nd2Fe14B and related compounds as well as the effects of chemical substitutions on magnetic moment, Curie temperature and anisotropy energy, as well as the effects of hydrogenation. Progress concerning the basic properties of the Nd2Fe14B compound relates to the magnetism of the 3d and the 4f sublattices as well as the magnetic interactions between the two sublattices.
