Donor-Acceptor Interactions of the Active Centres of Chain Propagation in the Anionic Polymerization of Acrylonitrile and Methacrylonitrile and Some Other Polar Vinyl Monomers

Recent Advances in Anionic Polymerization

Abstract

Studies of the anionic polymerization of polar vinyl monomers, although very intensive, still remain within the frames of mainly qualitative and semi-quantitative evidence and conclusions. Much of the published data on principle parameters are contradictory and insufficiently reliable. The only exceptions are the polymerizations of methyl methacrylate [1] and the vinyl pyridines [2].
