Laser Processing Systems in Production Plants

  • Chapter
Applied Laser Tooling

Abstract

During the 1970’s laser manufacturers were predominantly concerned with selling their basic laser generator and generally showed little interest in developing complete processing systems. The prospective user had the choice of either developing a system “in house” or involving a conventional machine tool or systems designer to buy a laser and incorporate it into a total system.
