Abstract
This chapter is devoted mostly to cylindrical shells. Practically all of the investigations of the effect of boundary conditions on stability have been specialized to this most important geometry. The study of the effect of eccentric loading is concentrated even more specifically on axially stiffened cylinders under axial compression.
