Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to analyse the impact of price control on the structure of the Italian cement industry. The cement industry in Italy has been subject to an official maximum price since 1936, so that the growth of the industry itself from then until the present day has been obtained within a pricing system constrained by the public authorities.
