Abstract

Carcinoma of the penis is a highly significant health problem in many areas of the world. Surgery remains the primary treatment modality for this disease. Certainly controversies exist over the optimal extent and timing of primary surgical intervention (Hoppman and Fraley 1978; De Kernion and Persky 1978), but in any case, a thorough understanding of the surgical anatomy of the penis is mandatory for deciding on a proper therapeutic approach.
