Abstract
In order to improve the performance of water electrolyzers three problems have to be solved:
-
(i)
Proper activation of the electrode processes
-
(ii)
Decrease of dimensions of the interelectrodic gap and simultaneous decrease of surface specific resistance of diaphragm structures
-
(iii)
Change of internal electrolyzer configuration in order to avoid the detrimental bubble-accumulation.
