Abstract

Medium-sized flies (length, 9 mm), characterized by the total absence of ocelli (Fig. 29), M1 with stump vein, cell R5 closed and long petiolate (Fig. 10), median carina of antennal fovea medianly interrupted: 3rd stage larva unique in the family, presenting ventrally wide stripes of subquadrangular scales with sinuous border (Figs. 30–32); parasites of the kangaroo (Macropus).
