Abstract

Being launched in a high-apogee orbit the proposed omnidirectional gamma-ray telescope will provide contemporary observations of a broad sky region, which may include the whole Galaxy, with sensitivity in GeV range by an order of magnitude higher and angular resolution by 2–3 times better than in the current EGRET/CGRO mission. Discovery of thousands of new sources is expected but their spectra can be measured only approximately.
