Abstract
Since the late 1970s, technology programmes are increasingly being evaluated in the Federal Republic of Germany, usually in the shape of programme-accompanying or ex post evaluations. In the framework of the implementation of the innovation support programme Microsystem Technology, a real-time evaluation was commissioned, which is expected to provide first information on the success of the programme and the impact of the programme design. This paper offers first experience with such a real-time evaluation for selected technology transfer initiatives in the innovation support programme Microsystems Technology (MST)1.
