Abstract

In this work we investigate the ionisation of atomic hydrogen by the impact of an arbitrary structureless charged projectile. The stuctures arising in the energy and angular distributions of the ionised electrons are analysed. The dependence of the triply differential cross section, differential in the momenta of the outgoing particles, is investigated as a function of the projectile mass and charge. Using a scaling formula, We can directly compare cross sections resulting by the impact of different projectiles.
