Growth, reproduction and death in lampreys and eels

  • Chapter
Fish Ecophysiology

Part of the book series: Chapman & Hall Fish and Fisheries Series ((FIFI,volume 9))

Abstract

This chapter will focus on the European river lamprey, Lampetrafluviatilis, and on the European eel, Anguilla anguilla. Their life stories are dramatic, well studied, and still with challenging mysteries to be elucidated.
