Abstract

This paper will present an overview of the role of the European Environment Agency (EEA) in environmental information at the European level for policy making and assessment as well as present and analyse some of the latest information on national, EU 15 and European emission estimates, projections and reduction goals for the main greenhouse gases (GHGs).

The opinions expressed in this paper are of a personal nature and do not necessarily reflect the views of the EEA, the European Commission or any other Community Institute.
