Abstract

Bunker Hill has a special place in the history of the United States of America as the great and persistent producer of silver. This mine has significance for economic geologists as one of the few vein deposits to be continuously worked well into the twentieth century. It is the largest, and possibly the richest, of the mines of the legendary Cœur d’Alene district.
