Abstract

The plan for an International Peace Court presented herein is a new departure from old ways of thinking about the question of how to maintain peace and security in the world. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that it is a departure not so much from customary thinking as from customary non-thinking, that is, from ways of maintaining underlying premises for positions without articulating these premises or perhaps even adverting to them.
