Abstract
In the Federal Republic of Germany our works produce and process annually 25,000 m3 of whitewood for German prefabricated house construction. Load-belting structural timbers are produced in lengths from 8 to 14 metres, that is to say in absolute fixed lengths to customer requirements, (for example 12.355 mm) with “finish machining” for final installation/assembly by the customer. The finger-joint is produced in accordance with DIN 68140, October 1971 Edition.
