Abstract

In (Lewis 1977) Albert C. Lewis deduces, by a brilliant analysis, that the scientific method or ‘wissenschaftliche unity’ displayed in Grassmann’s Al is based mainly upon the philosophy of his father Justus Grassmann and that of the famous theologian F.E.M. Schleiermacher. Schleiermacher was one of Grassmann’s teachers during his student years at the University of Berlin.
