Abstract

This chapter begins with a review of sheaf theory: sheaves generalize vector bundles and may be thought of as vector bundles with variable fiber dimensions. The sheaf cohomology group provides a convenient language capable of describing various global properties including topological obstructions for compact complex manifolds. Our main references for Sections 1 and 2 are [Wells] and [Chem].
