What Can We Learn from Post-AGB Chemical Studies on the AGB 3RD Dredge-Up Phenomena?

  • Chapter
Post-AGB Objects as a Phase of Stellar Evolution

Part of the book series: Astrophysics and Space Science Library ((ASSL,volume 265))

Abstract

In this contribution we focus on the remarkably divers detailed chemical patterns observed in post-AGB stars and we address the question whether AGB (nucleosynthetic) evolutionary models can be further constrained by the results on post-AGB stars.
